This is such a pretty scale. It was hard to take a picture that shows just how nice this scale is. I decided to order the black scale. This color will fit in nicely with any kitchen decor. Batteries are included in the scale, you will just need to remove the plastic tab before using for the first time. I like that you can switch the unit you are measuring (lbs, oz, fl. oz, g, or ml) and that the scale has a tare feature for when you are weighing an item in a container. Simply place the container on the scale and then the on/off/tare button to zero out the weight before measuring. This scale also has a smooth flat surface with no crevices which makes for easy cleaning. I'm always happy to find an item that looks nice and also works well.
